Islamabad, the 14th April, 1998. NOTIFICATIONNOTIFICATION (Central(Central Excise)Excise) S.R.O.239(I)/98.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.455(I)/96, dated the 13th June, 1996, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table,- (1) against item relating to “Clinkers” in column (1), in column (3), for the existing entry the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Clinker if removed from a cement factory for use in the manufacture of cement provided that the provisions of Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 are followed.” (2) against item relating to “Transformer oil” in column (1), in column (3), the existing entry shall be numbered as clause (I), and after clause (I), numbered as aforesaid, the following new clause and the entry relating thereto in column (4), shall be added, namely:- “(ii) If used by Heavy Electrical Nil.”; and Complex (HEC) for the local manufacture or rehabilitation of high voltage power transformer on the firm orders received by HEC (3) against item relating to “Wire and cable” in column (1), in column (3), after clause (ii), the following new clause and the entry relating thereto in column (4), shall be added, namely:- “(iii) Insulated paper wrapped copper Nil.” Conductor if used by Heavy Electrical Complex (HEX) for

the local manufacture of rehabilitation of high voltage power transformer on the firm orders received by HEC [C.No.3(8)-CEB/80-Vo1.V]
