NOTIFICATION (Central Excises) S.R.O.117(I)98.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.455(I)/96, dated the 13th June, 1996, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in column (1), against item relating to “Distribution or supply of gas” in column (3), the existing entry shall be numbered as clause (i), and after clause (i), numbered as aforesaid, the following new clause and the entry relating thereto in column (4), shall be added, namely:- “(ii) Such charges as are billed on Nil.”. distribution or supply of gas by CNG filling stations to their customers for use in their customers for use in their vehicles as fuel subject to the condition that central excise duty payable under heading 9817.0000 has already been recovered or paid by the gas marketing companies [C.No.1(9)-CEB/96] (M.
