(Central Excise)
S.R.O.175 (I)/98.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A
of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the
following further amendment shall be mad4e in its notification No.S.R.O.455(I)/96, date the13th
June, 1996, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in the heading "Wire and cable" in column (1)
before heading No.8544.0000 in column (2) and entries relating thereto in columns (3) and (4),
the following new heading numbers and the entries relating thereto shall be inserted, namely:-
"7408.0000 (i) If used in the manufacture of Nil.
Stranded wire, cables, plaited
bands and the like, of copper,
not electrically insulated of
heading 7413.0000 subjected
to duties of excise provided
that the provisions of Chapter
X of the Central Excise Rules,
(ii) If used in the manufacture Nil.
of ename11ed copper wire
of heading 8544.1100 subjected
to duties of excise provided that
the provisions of Chapter X of
the Central Excise Rules, 1944,
are followed.
“7605.0000 If used in the manufacture of stranded Nil.
wire, cables,plaited bands and the like,
of aluminum, not electrically insulated
of heading 7614.0000 subjected to duties
of excise provided that the provisions
of Chapter X of the Central Excise
Rules, 1944, are followed.
