GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STATISTICS & REVENUE DIVISION ***** Islamabad, the 30th August, 1999 NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS AND SALES TAX) S.R.O.984 (I)/99. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Customs (Amendment) Act, 1999 (II of 1999), and sub-section (5) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that in its Notification No. S.R.O. 749(I)/98, dated the 29th June, 1998, the following amendment shall be made and shall be deemed to have been so made from the 12th June, 1999, namely: - In the aforesaid Notification, (a) in the preamble. - (i) the words, brackets, figures and commas “and sub-section (2) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990,” shall be omitted; (ii) for the words “and sales tax as is”, the words “as are” shall be substituted; (iii) the words, figure and brackets, “and (4)” shall be omitted; and (b) for the Table, the following shall be substituted, namely,- S.No Distribution Amount of Customs-duties (1) (2) (3) 1. Exploration and Production Companies Zero (a) First two vehicles (b) Third vehicle 10% of the amount of customs- duties leviable under section 18 of the Finance Act, 1999 (II of 1999). (c) Fourth vehicle 25% of the amount of customs- duties leviable under section 18 of the Finance Act, 1999 (II of 1999)
