S.R.O.977(I)/99. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the
Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), and sub-section (5) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act,
1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments
shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O 28(I)/98 dated the 17th January 1998, namely:
In the aforesaid Notification,
(i) in the preamble,-
(a) the words, brackets, figures and commas “and clause (a) of sub-
section (2) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, “shall be
omitted; and
(b) the words and comma “and whole of sales tax, “shall be omitted;
(ii) in conditions (3), the words “ and sales tax” shall be omitted; and;
(iii) in the indemnity bond,-
(a) in second paragraph, the words “and whole of sales tax” shall be
omitted; and
(b) in fourth paragraph, the words “and sales tax” shall be omitted.
