EXEMPTION FROM CUSTOMS-DUTIES AND SALES TAX ON IMPORT OF ARTICLES FOR ASSEMBLING IN BOND OF CERTAIN VEHICLES
Notification No. S.R.O. 685(I)/80, dated 26th June, 1980.--In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), and sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt articles imported for the assembling in bond of vehicles falling under Chapter 87 of the First Schedule to the former Act from so much of the customs-duties and sales tax leviable thereon as in excess of the duty on such articles calculated at the rate applicable to the vehicles assembled prior to importation.
