NOTIFICATION (Central Excise) S.R.O.383(I)/2001.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.454(I)/96, dated 13th June, 1996, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in column (1),-- (1) against heading numbers 2106.9011, 3302.1010, in column (3), for the words “Thirty-five” the word “Fifty” shall be substituted; (2) against heading numbers 2201.1000, 2202.1010, 2202.1020, 2202.1090, in column (3), for the words “Seventeen and half per cent ad val” the words “Fifteen per cent of the retail price” shall be substituted; (3) against heading number 2402.2000, in column (3), for the words “Ninety per cent ad val” the words “Sixty-three per cent of the retail price” shall be substituted; (4) against heading number 2710.0081, in column (3), for the words “Five rupees per litre” the words “Ten per cent of the retail price or seven rupees and fifteen paisa per litre whichever is higher.” shall be substituted; (5) against heading number 2710.0082, in column (3), for the words “Five rupees per litre” the words “Ten per cent of the retail price or seven rupees and fifteen paisa per litre whichever is higher.” shall be substituted; (6) against heading number 3303.0000, in column (3), for the words “ad val” the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (7) against heading number 3304.0000, in column (3), for the words “ad val” the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (8) against heading number 3305.0000,-- (a) in column (2), after the word “hair” the brackets and words “(excluding herbal hair oil and kali mehndi)” shall be inserted; and (b) in column (3), for the words “ad val”, wherever occurring, the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (9) against heading number 3307.0000, in column (3), for the words “ad val” the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (10) against heading number 3401.0000, in column (3), for the words “ad val” the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (11) against heading numbers 3402.0000, 3402.9091, 3402.9092, 3402.9099, in column (3), for the words “ad val” the words “of the retail price” shall be substituted; (12) against heading numbers 5402.2000, 5402.3300, 5402.4300, in column (3), for the words “Five per cent ad val” the words “Two rupees and fifty paisa per kg” shall be substituted; (13) against heading number 7311.0020, in column (3), for the word “Twenty” the word “Ten” shall be substituted; and (14) after heading number 7311.0020 and the entries relating thereto in column (2) and (3) the following new heading number shall be added, namely:- “8507.0000 Electric accumulators, whether Ten per cent or not rectangular (including square) of the retail excluding separator plates price.”.
