EXEMPTION FROM SALES TAX ON LOCAL MANUFACTURING OF CERTAIN GOODS FOR EXCLUSIVE USE OF PAKISTAN TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE DEPARTMENT
13Notification No. S.R.O. 379(I)/85, dated 23rd April, 1985.--In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951, (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt from the tax payable under the said Act the locally manufactured articles falling under heading Nos. 85.13,85.17,85.19, and 85.23 of the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), 14[as it was in force immediately before the 26th June, 1988], which are for exclusive use of Pakistan Telegraph and Telephone Department, specially ordered by the Director General of Telegraph and Telephone.
2. The exemption under this Notification shall be admissible on and from the 28th June, 1979.
