EXEMPTION FROM SALES TAX ON GOODS MANUFACTURED OR PRODUCED IN PAKISTAN AS ARE DONATED TO THE PRESIDENT'S FAMINE RELIEF FUND FOR AFRICA
1Notification No. S.R.O. 238(I)/85, dated 17th March, 1985.--In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt from the whole of sales tax leviable on such goods manufactured or produced in Pakistan as are donated to the "President's Famine Relief Fund for Africa" and are cleared from the manufacturing premises by the agencies duly authorised in this behalf by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs".
Provided that the agencies shall inform the relevant Collector of Central Excise and Land Customs in writing of the quantity, value and tax involved on such goods well in advance of their actual clearance.
