NOTIFICATION ( Central Excise) S.R.O.667(I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), read with sub-section (7) of section 4 thereof, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.456(I)/96, dated the 13th June, 1996, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in Column (I),-- (1) against heading numbers 2710.0081 and 2710.0082, in column (3), after the word “price”, wherever occurring, the words “or seven rupees and fifteen paisa per litre whichever is higher” shall be added; (2) for heading number 2710.0099 and the entries relating thereto in column (2) and (3) the following shall be substituted, namely:- “2710.0099 Transformer oil Ten per cent of the retail price or seven rupees and fifteen paisa per litre whichever is higher. Other Thirty per cent ad val.”; (3) against heading numbers 4907.0010 and 4907.0030, in column (3), for the word “Two”, wherever occurring, the word “Four” shall be substituted. (4) heading number 5407.2000 and 6305.3300 and the entries relating thereto in columns (2) and (3) shall be omitted; (5) against heading number 9808.0000, in column (3), for the words “Twelve and half” the word “fifteen” shall be substituted;

(6) against heading numbers 9812.1000, 9812.2000, 9812.4000 and 9812.9000, in column (3), for the words “Twenty-five”, wherever occurring, the word “Fifteen” shall be substituted; and (7) against heading number 9817.000, in column (2), for the existing entry the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Services of distribution or supply of natural gas to all consumers excluding the gas used in the manufacture of fertilizer”.
