NOTIFICATION
(Federal Excise)
S.R.O. 654 (I)/2005.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (12) of section 2 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 read with clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 29, and in supersession of its Notification No. S.R.O 543(I)/75 dated 8th May, 1975, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to invest the officers of the Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (Customs and Excise), not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent, with the powers of a Federal Excise Officer under sections 22, 23, 25 and 26 of the said Act read with Chapter XIII of the Federal Excise Rules, 2005.
2. This notification shall take effect from the 1st day of July, 2005.
