GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN CENTRAL BOARD OF REVENUE [Sales Tax & Federal Excise Wing] **** Islamabad, the 10th January, 2007 NOTIFICATION (Sales Tax & Federal Excise) S.R.O. 29(I)/2007:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30 and 31 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and section 29 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to appoint the Director-Generals, Collectors, Additional Collectors, Cost Accountants, Deputy Collectors, Assistant Collectors, Superintendents, Senior Auditors, Deputy Superintendents, Auditors and Inspectors of Sales Tax and Federal Excise, to be the officers of Sales Tax and Federal Excise for the offices specified in column (2) of the Table below in respect of the areas specified in column (3) of the said Table, to exercise such powers and discharge such duties as are conferred on such officers under aforesaid Acts and the rules made there-under. TABLE S. No. Office Area (1) (2) (3) 1. Regional Tax Office, The areas included in the former Civil Division of Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi the Islamabad Capital Territory and the Northern Areas. 2. Regional Tax Office, The area comprising the Province of the North-West Frontier Peshawar (excluding the former Civil Division of Hazara), as well as the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas thereof and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. 3. Regional Tax Office, The areas comprising former Civil Division of Hazara i.e. Abbottabad Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram and Kohistan Districts. 02.
