Power of Federal Excise to officers of directorate general of inspection & internal audit

Government of Pakistan Central Board of Revenue **** Islamabad, the 1st July, 2005. NOTIFICATION (Federal Excise) S.R.O. 653 (I)/2005.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (12) of section 2 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, read with clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 29, and in supersession of its Notification No. S.R.O 1127(I)/94 dated 15th November, 1994, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to invest the officers of the Directorate General of Inspection and Internal Audit, specified in column (1) of the table below, the powers of Federal Excise Officers under the provisions specified in column (2) of the said table subject to the conditions stated in this notification:- TABLE Officer | Provisions of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 and the Federal Excise Rules, 2005 (1) | (2) An officer not below the rank of Deputy Director. | Sections 22, 23 and 46 read with Chapters XIII and XIV of the Federal Excise Rules, 2005. An officer not below the rank of Assistant Director. | Sections 22, 23 and 46 read with Chapters XIII and XIV of the Federal Excise Rules, 2005. An officer not below the rank of Superintendent | Sections 23 and 46 read with Chapters XIII and XIV of the Federal Excise Rules, 2005. 2. Powers under section 46 shall be exercised by the said officers only after taking written permission from the Director of Inspection and Internal Audit. 3.
