Exemption from Customs Duty and Sales Tax to Approved Vendors Supplying Local Manufacture Component

EXEMPTION FROM CUSTOMS DUTY AND SALES TAX TO APPROVED VENDORS SUPPLYING LOCAL MANUFACTURE COMPONENTS TO RECOGNIZED MANUFACTURER. Notification No. S.R.O.788(I)/87, dated 1st October, 1987.--- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969)and section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the approved vendors supplying locally manufactured components to recognized manufacturers shall be entitled to the same concession of customs duty and sales tax on import of raw materials as is admissible in the Table below and subject to the same conditions as laid down in the said Notification.
