Exemption from Customs Duty and Sales Tax on Purchase of Bus Chassis from the Local Authorised Manuf

EXEMPTION FROM CUSTOMS DUTY AND SALES TAX ON PURCHASE OF BUS CHASSIS FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORISED MANUFACTURERS HAVING CAPACITY OF 25 SEATS OR MORE 11Notification No. S.R.O. 372(I)/1987, 4th May, 1987.-- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt from payment of customs duty and sales tax on the purchase of bus chasses from the local authorised manufactures, having capacity of 25 seats or more, for use of the Government recognised educational institutions, subject to the following conditions, namely:- the educational institution shall submit a "No Objection Certificate" issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, or the Department of Education of the concerned Province to the Collector of Customs in whose jurisdiction the unit of that authorised manufacturer is locate; the name of the educational institution shall be inscribed conspicuously on left and right sides of the body of the bus; and the bus shall exclusively be used for transportation of students and shall not be sold or otherwise disposed of without the prior approval of the Central Board of Revenue. 11.
