GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STATISTICS AND REVENUE REVENUE DIVISION ***** Islamabad, the 30th August, 1999 NOTIFICATION CUSTOMS *** S.R.O.981 (I)/99. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), and sub-section (5) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 511(I)/98 dated the 2nd June 1998, namely: In the aforesaid Notification, (i) in the preamble,- (a) the words, brackets, figures and commas “and clause (a) of sub- section (2) of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, “shall be omitted; and (b) the words and brackets “from whole of sales tax (on imports and its subsequent supply to a subscriber)” shall be omitted; (ii) in conditions,- (a) in conditions (i), the words “ and sales tax” shall be omitted; (b) in conditions (ii), the words “ and sales tax” shall be omitted; and; (c) in conditions (iv), the comma and words “ Sales Tax” shall be omitted; and; (iii) in the indemnity bond,- (a) in second paragraph, the words “from the whole of sales tax” shall be omitted; and (b) in third paragraph, the words “and sales tax”, occurring twice, shall be omitted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [C.No.6 (22)/99-CB] (M.
