GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND REVENUE (REVENUE DIVISION) *** Islamabad, the 4th January, 2008 NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS) S.R.O. 16 (I)/2008.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.567(I)/2006, dated the 5th June, 2006, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in Table-I, after serial number 49 in column (1) and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5), the following new serial number and the entries relating thereto shall be added, namely:- “50 Respective Samples of no 0% (1) Raw materials and products of such heading commercial value dimension/specifications that are imported by footwear useless except for purposes of manufacturers demonstration; (2) articles of non-precious materials affixed to cards or put up as samples in the manner usual in the trade provided that there is not more than one of each size or kind; (3) raw materials and products, and article thereof rendered useless, except for purposes of demonstration, by slashing, perforation, indelible marking or by any other effective method; and (4) products which cannot be put up as samples of no commercial value in accordance with conditions (1) to (3) and which consist of - (i) non-consumable goods of an

individual value not exceeding US$ 100 or its equivalent in any other currency and provided there is not more than one sample of each kind or quality; and (ii) consumable goods of an individual value not exceeding US$ 100 or its equivalent in any currency even if they consist wholly or partly of samples of the same kind or quality, provided the quantity and the manner in which they are put up preclude their being used otherwise than as samples.” C.No. 5(3)Tar.I/2006 (MEHMOOD ALAM) Additional Secretary
