Delegation of Anti-smuggling Powers to FC KP-Bal (North / South)

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN REVENUE DIVISION FEDERAL BOARD OF REVENUE ***** NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS) Islamabad, the 7th November, 2023 S.R.O. 1521(1)/2023. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Customs Act, 199 (IV of 1969), the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 901(1)/2023, dated the 71h day of July. 2023. namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the preamble. for conditions (i) and (ii), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(i) for smuggled goods, other than notified essential commodities, the functions shall be performed within fifty kilometers of the International borders and at Inter-Provincial Joint Check Posts (IPJCPs) and Joint Check Posts (JCPs) as notified by the Ministry of Interior vide Notification F. No. 1/30/2023-A/S(FC) dated the 31 day of October, 2023, but excluding the city municipal limits, customs areas, customs stations, ports, borders customs stations, international airports, and bonded warehouses, etc; (ii) for prevention of smuggling of essential commodities notified under sub- clause (iv) of clause (s) of section 2 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), such functions shall be performed in the bordering districts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa adjoining Afghanistan including within city municipal limits, and at Inter-Provincial Joint Check Posts (IPJCPs) and Joint Check Posts (JCPs) as notified by the Ministry of Interior vide Notification F.No. 130/2023-A/S(FC), dated the 31' day of October, [C.No. 1(16)AS/991 u mm q ) Secretary ( rcement & Coord.)
