Regarding Organization of Directorate General of Customs Risk Management (DGCRM)

S.R.O. in 9 (I)/2023.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3BBB and 3E of the Customs Act, 1969, (IV of 1969) and in supersession of its Notification No. SRO. 769(1)/2014, dated the 12th day of August, 2014, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to notify organization of the Directorate-General of Customs Risk Management (DGCRM) and appoint, namely:- the officer specified against S.No. 1 in column (2) of the Table below to be the Director General, Directorate-General of Customs Risk Management, Islamabad for the functional jurisdiction specified in corresponding column (3) thereof; the officer specified against S.No. 2 in column (2) of the Table below to be the Director, Directorate of Customs Risk Management Karachi for the functional jurisdiction specified in corresponding column (3), thereof; and the Additional Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and officers and officials of Customs with any other designation, to be the respective officers of Customs of those functional areas, namely:- TABLE Area of Functional JurisdictionS.No. Designation of the Officer (2) (3) (1) The jurisdiction of this office would extend to 1. system and its application on clearance 61 import and export consignments; monitoring, evaluation and upgradatmn of risk management strategy and system in the light of changing national and international trends; upgradation of risk management strategy and system on the basis of analysis of clearance of various sectors and commodities, pattern of adjudication Proceedings and other legal matters and outcome thereof; protection, security and maintaining confidentiality of the Risk Management System (RMS) data and records; human resource development through providing education and training to officers and staff in the area of risk management; and liaison with other regulatory, enforcement and intelligence agencies for effective monitoring and check for improving risk management methodology, policies and procedures.Director, ne Director, Directorate of Customs RiskDirectorate of Management Karachi shall perform the following Customs Risk functions in the areas of risk management, namely:- Management, Karachi. support the Director General in all matters relating to the policy formulation and implementation of the Directorate-General of Customs Risk Management; oversee matters related to administration, budget allocation and expenditure in the jurisdiction of the Directorate-General; identify requirements and recommend internal controls for protection of revenue and facilitation of genuine trade; develop and maintain a risk register of risk profiles, risk indicators and selectivity procedures for RMS; analysis of clearances of import and export consignments assigned Green Channel by RMS: CamScanner

analysis of the examination requests rejected by the officers of the clearance Collectorates; analysis of import and export data and assessing and prioritizing fy areas for developing risk potential risk t i ga t i n s t rate g i es mdeive i op ng pa ram er rs and criteria for risk profiling; collecting intelligence and maintaining risk profiles of traders and clearing agents with respect to their business, past history, record of contraventions etc.; collection of research data on international and domestic markets for use in risk profiling; realignment of weights assigned to different clearance activities; and formulating security protocols and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) for RNIS to ensure confidentiality and security of all information related to RMS data and record etc. P/201322 (Riaz ussain) Secretary (Law & Procedure) CamScanner
