Amendments in S.R.O. 389(I)/2001, dated 18th Jun, 2001

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS STATISTICS AND REVENUE (REVENUE DIVISION) *** Islamabad, the 2nd February, 2002. NOTIFICATION (SALES TAX) S.R.O. 79 (I)/2002.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1A) and clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 389(I)/2001, dated the 18th June, 2001, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the table, in column (1),- (a) serial number 188 and the entries relating thereto, in columns (2) and (3) shall be omitted; (b) the serial numbers “189” and “190” shall be re-numbered as serial numbers “199” and “200” respectively; (c) after serial number “187” the following new serial numbers in column (1) and the entries relating thereto in columns (2) and (3) shall be inserted, namely:- “188. | Pig Iron and spiegeleisen in pigs, blocks or other primary form | 72.01 189. | Ferrous products obtained by direct reduction of iron ore and other spongy ferrous products, in lumps, pellets or similar forms; iron having a minimum purity by weight of 99.94%, in lumps, pellets or similar forms. | 72.03 190. | Ferrous waste and scrap; re-melting scrap ingots of iron or steel. | 72.04 191. | Iron and non-alloy steel in ingots or other primary forms (excluding iron of heading No.72.03). | 72.06 192. | Semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel. | 72.07 193. | Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated. | 72.08 194. | Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width 600 mm or more, cold rolled (cold- reduced), not clad, plated or coated. | 72.09 195. | Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of width of 600 mm or more, clad, plated or coated. | 72.10 196. | Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of width of less than 600 mm, not clad, plated or coated. | 72.11 197. | Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of less than 600 mm, clad, plated or coated. | 72.12 198. | Iron and steel scrap of a kind used for re-rolling. | Respective headings”; and (d) after serial number 200 as re-numbered hereinabove , the following new serial number in column (1) and the entries relating thereto in column (2) and (3) shall be added, namely:- “201. | Vessels and other floating structures for breaking up. | 89.08.” 2.
