Amendments in Notification No. SRO 389(1)/2001 dated 18th June, 2001

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS STATISTICS & REVENUE REVENUE DIVISION *** Islamabad, the 7th September, 2001 NOTIFICATION SALES TAX S.R.O. 634 (1)/2001:- In exercise if the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following amendments shall be made in its Notification No. SRO 389(1)/2001, and shall be deemed to have been so made with effect from the 18th June, 2001, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification,- (a) in the preamble, after the word “by” the words brackets, figure and latter “sub section” (1 A) and” shall be inserted; and (b) in the TABLE,- (i) in serial number 1, in column3, for the figure “1502.0090” the figure “1503.0090” shall be substituted: (ii) in serial number (11),- (a) in column (2), for the word “Other sodium” the word “Sodium” shall be substituted; and (b) in column (3), for the figure “2830.1090” the figure “2830.1000” shall be substituted; (iii) in serial number 109, for the entry in column (2), the following shall be substituted, namel “ Sorbitol other than that of sub-heading No.2905-44”; (iv) in serial number 110, for the entry in column (2), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Gum base of a kind used for manufacture of chewing gum’; and (v) in serial number 153, in column (2),- (a) the words “ non cellular and” shall be omitted; and (b) the word and comma “ laminated “ shall be omitted.
