(SALES TAX)
S.R.O. 538(I)/2008.- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of
section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that
the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O.
509(I)/2007, dated the 9th June, 2007, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in column (1),-
(i) serial number 6 and the entries relating thereto in columns (2) and (3)
shall be omitted;
(ii) against serial number 16, in column (3), for the entry “2829.1100”, the
entry “2829.9000” shall be substituted;
(iii) against serial number 78, in column (3), for the entry “3405.9000”, the
entry “3824.9060” shall be substituted;
(iv) against serial number 81, in column (3), for the entry “3506.9990”, the
entry “3506.9110 and 3506.9190” shall be substituted;
(v) against serial number 88, in column (3), for the entry “3809.9100”, the
entry “3809.9110 and 3809.9190” shall be substituted;

(vi) against serial number 99, in column (3), for the entry “3906.9080”, the
entry “3906.9090” shall be substituted;
(vii) against serial number 101, in column (3), for the entry “3908.9000”, the
entry “3908.1000” shall be substituted;
(viii) against serial number 121, in column (3), for the entry “4404.1010”, the
entry “4404.1000” shall be substituted;
(ix) against serial number 126, in column (3), for the entry “7019.3200”, the
entry “7019.9010” shall be substituted;
(x) against serial number 141, in column (2), the words “fitted with chain
scoops of base metal” shall be omitted;
(xi) after serial number 141, and the entries relating thereto in columns (2) and
(3), the following new serial numbers and the entries relating thereto shall
be added, namely;-
“142. Caustic soda flakes in solid form 2815.1100
143. Cotton linter 1404.2000
144. Sequins 3926.9099”.
