Amendments in Notification No. S.R.O. 751(I)/99, dated 15th June, 1999

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STATISTICS AND REVENUE (REVENUE DIVISION) ******** Islamabad, the 11th June, 2001. NOTIFICATION (SALES TAX) S.R.O. 356(I)/2001.- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (iii) of the first proviso to section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 751(I)/99, dated the 15th June, 1999, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, for the full stop, at the end, a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following proviso shall be added, namely:- "Provided that nothing in this notification shall apply to cement, rice, pharmaceuticals, glass sheets, G. I. Pipes and hardware items (excluding those manufactured in manufacturing bonds), so exported to the said countries against irrevocable letter of credit or advance payment in convertible foreign exchange and the Pakistan Embassy or Consulate in Kabul or, as the case may be, Kandhar or Jalalabad, verifies the arrival of export consignment of such goods from Pakistan, and the packages or retail packings thereof are clearly marked with the expression "For Export Only".
