NOTIFICATION
(CUSTOMS)
S.R.O. 809(I)/2009.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of
the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt
machinery and equipment, if imported by textile industrial units registered with Ministry
of Textile Industry, falling under heading or sub-heading numbers specified in the Table
below, excluding those manufactured locally, from payment of whole of customs-duty
specified in the First Schedule to the aforesaid Act.

Explanation.- In this notification the expression “excluding those manufactured locally”
means the goods which are not included in the list of locally manufactured goods,
specified in General Order, issued by the Federal Board of Revenue or, as the case may
be, certified as such by the Engineering Development Board.
