GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMICS & REVENUE AFFAIRS Islamabad, the April 14, 1999. NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS ) S.R.O. 474(I)/99. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 98 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV OF 1969), and in supersession of its Notification No.S.R.O.10(I)/99, and in January, 1999, the Federal Government is pleased to - (i) extending warehousing period in respect of the goods warehoused under Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1996, notified vide Notification No.S.R.O. 1319(I)/96, dated the 24th November, 1996, for a further period of three years and those supplied free of cost on credit basis for a further period of two years which shall commence beyond the expiry of stipulated period for which such goods may remain in the warehouse under sub-rule (3) of rule 4 of the Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1996; (ii) extend warehousing period in respect of the goods warehoused under Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1997, notified vide Notification No. S.R.O. 1140(I)/97, dated the 6th November, 1997, for a further period of two years which shall commence beyond the expiry of stipulated period for which such goods may remain in the warehouse under rule 19 of the Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1997; and (iii) remit surcharge payable under the said section in the case of goods which are used in the manufacture of export goods and the finished goods are re-exported in the manner prescribed in the aforesaid Rules, before the expiry of extended period as specified in clauses (I) and (ii). 2. This notification shall apply to all the goods imported and warehoused under Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1996, and the Manufacturing in Bond Rules, 1997 respectively, provided that the cumulative warehousing period allowed under the aforesaid Rules and the extension period admissible under this notification does not exceed five years. _______________________________________________________________________________ [C.No.3(105)Rebate/97] ( M.
