GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN (REVENUE DIVISION) CENTRAL BOARD OF REVENUE **** Islamabad, the 29th May, 2001 NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS/CENTRAL EXCISE/SALES TAX/INCOME TAX) S.R.O.330(I)/2001: - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 of the customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), section 37 of the Central Excises Act, 1944(I of 1944), section 50 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and sub-section (I) of section 165 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1979 (XXXI of 1979), the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following amendments shall be made in the Duty and Tax Remission for Export Rules, 2001, namely:- In the aforesaid Rules,- (1) in rule 1, in sub-rule (2), in clause (i), after the comma, occurring for the second time, the words and comma “excluding pure terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyester staple fibre,” shall be inserted; (2) in rule 4, for the brackets and figure “(2)” the brackets and figure “(4)” shall be substituted; (3) in rule 5, in sub-rule(3), for the brackets and figure “(6)” the brackets and figure “(8)” shall be substituted; (4) in rule 8, the words, comma and full stop “However, an insurance cover shall be provided by an exporter for the amount of duties and taxes leviable on input goods which may be released by Customs.” Shall be omitted; and (5) in rule 11, the words, brackets and figures “sub-rule (1) or (2)” shall be omitted; and (6) in Appendix 1, for the figure and brackets “(2)”, occurring in the box on the right, the figure and brackets “(4)” shall be substituted; and (7) in Appendix 2,- (a) for the words “Application Form” the words “Reconciliation Form” shall be substituted; and (b) for the figures and brackets “(2)”, occurring in the box on the right, the figure and brackets “(4)” shall be substituted. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [C.No. 1(1)C(EP)/99] (Dr. Manzoor Ahmad) Member (Customs)
