Amendment in the Customs Reward Rules, 2012

S.R.O. 153‘35 (1)/2023.- The following draft of certain further amendments in the Reward Rules, 2012, which the Federal Board of Revenue proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 read with section 202B of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969) is hereby published for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and, as required under sub- section (3A) of the said section 219, notice is hereby given that objections or suggestions thereon, if any, may for consideration of the Board be sent within three days of publication of the draft in the official Gazette. Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person, before the expiry of the aforesaid period, shall be taken into consideration by the Federal Board of Revenue, namely:- DRAFT AMENDMENTS In the aforesaid Rules,- (1) in rule 3, for clause (c), the following shall be substituted, namely - (c) officers and officials of other law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, who assist Customs officers and officials or are actually instrumental in seizure of smuggled goods and vehicles as confirmed by the respective Collectorate of Customs, for their meritorious conduct in such cases only after realization of part or whole of the duty and taxes involved in such cases.". fC.No.7(3)AS&C/09/Pt-II]. tlyed Muham ad R za Naqvi) Secretary (Enforce ent & Coordination)
