Amendment in Customs Rules 2001, notified vide SRO1402(I)/2023 dated 07.10.2023

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN (REVENUE DIVISION) FEDERAL BOARD OF REVENUE ***** NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS) Islamabad, the 27th November, 2023. S.R.O. 11 I I (1)12023.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), section 50 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, section 40 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 and section 237 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (XLIX of 2001), the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall to the extent of amendments made vide Notification No. SRO. 1402(1)/2023 dated the 7th day of October, 2023, be made in the Customs Rules, 2001, which, as required by sub-section (3A) of the said section 219, were previously published vide Notification No. S.R.O. 1709(1)/2023, dated the 24th day of November, 2023, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification No.S.R.0.1402(1)/2023, for paragraph (11), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(11) The provisions of this Notification shall not be applicable to the Afghan Transit Trade cargo arrived at Pakistani ports as determined from the berthing date of the vessel during the period commencing on the 3' day of October, 2023 and ending on the 16th day of November, 2023 an shall apply thereafter.".
