CUSTOMS
S.R.O. 1226(I)/2008.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19
of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), and clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 13 of
the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following
further amendment shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 575(I)/2006, dated the 5th
June, 2006 and shall be deemed to have been so made on the 11th June, 2008, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification, in condition (i) for the words, letters and
figure “provided the import is made against a valid contract or an irrevocable letter of
credit for a minimum C&F value of US $ 50 millions” the comma, words, letters and
figure “, provided the imports are made against valid contract (s) or letter (s) of credit and
the total C&F value of such imports for the project is US $ 50 million or above” shall be
substituted.
