EXEMPTION FROM CUSTOMS DUTY AND SALES TAX ON IMPORT OF PLANT AND MACHINERY WHICH ARE NOT MANUFACTURED LOCALLY AND ARE IMPORTED FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING UNITS MANUFACTURING FERTILIZERS
62Notification No.S.R.O.959(I)/89, dated 23rd September, 1989.-- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969),and sub-section (1) of section (7) of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt plant and machinery which are not manufactured locally and are imported for expansion of the existing units manufacturing fertilizers from the whole of the customs duties and sales tax chargeable thereon, subject to the conditions specified under S.R.O.515(I)/89, dated the 3rd June, 1989.
