EXEMPTION FROM SALES TAX ON GOODS PRODUCED OR MANUFACTURED IN PAKISTAN 37Notification No. S.R.O.566(I)/89, dated 3rd June, 1989.-- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 7 of the Sales Tax Act, 1951 (III of 1951), and in supersession of its Notification No.SRO 666(I)/81, dated the 25th June, 1981, the Federal Government is pleased to exempt the goods produced of manufactured in Pakistan and falling under heading numbers of the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), as it was in force immediately before the 26th June, 1988, specified in column (2) of the table below from the whole of the sales tax leviable thereon: Provided that, except where the Federal Government otherwise directs, nothing contained in this Notification shall exempt from the tax payable on the raw materials used for the manufacture of such goods.-- TABLE S.No | Description of goods (1) | (2) 1 | 01.01;01.02;01.03;01.04;01.05;01.06. 2 | Fresh meat and edible offals falling under heading No. 02.01 poultry meat falling under heading No. 02.02. 3 | 03.01;
