Special Audit of certain companies

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STATISTICS AND REVENUE (REVENUE DIVISION) **** Islamabad, the 2nd April, 2001 NOTIFICATION ( SALES TAX ) S.R.O. 206(I)/2001.--In exercise of the powers conferred under section 32-A of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and in supersession of S.R.O. 130(I)/2001, dated 28th February, 2001, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to appoint M/s. Abdul Wahid and Company, Chartered Accountants, Karachi for conducting special audit of the records of M/s. Dentogene Laboratories (Private) Limited, M/s. ICI Pakistan Limited, M/s. Reckitt and Colman of Pakistan Limited and M/s. Transpak Corporation Limited in the light of directives of Customs, Excise and Sales Tax, Appellate Tribunal, Karachi Bench as contained in the Order in Appeal No. 998 of 98 dated 4th September, 2000. 2. The scope of the special audit, may inter-alia include the following :- * To see and examine the terms of contract agreed between the appellants and their principals; * What is the value of supplies made by the vendor and others; * What output tax has been declared and by whom; * What input tax has been reclaimed and by whom; * Has all the tax, input and output tax, been accounted for; * What tax is outstanding and to whom; and * What tax is outstanding and from whom.
