NOTIFICATION
CAPITAL VALUE TAX
S.R.O. 508 (I) / 98.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(10) of section 7 of the Finance Act, 1989, the Federal government is pleased to exempt
from payment of Capital Value Tax any motor vehicles which are purchased by an
agency duly registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration And
Control ) Ordinance, 1961 (XLVI of 1961), or are otherwise approved under section 47
of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1979 (XXXI of 1979). Against foreign grants as are,-
a) below 1000CC engine capacity;
b) single-cabin pickups; and
c) other transport vehicles with registered laden weight of 2000 Kgs and above,
mobile ambulances, cranes and any specialized utility vehicles excluding luxury
vehicles,
