(INCOME TAX)
S.R.O. 405(I)/2008.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-
section (2) of section 53 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (XLIX of 2001), the
Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment
shall be made in the Second Schedule to the said Ordinance, namely:-
In the aforesaid Schedule, in Part I, in clause (132), in the third
proviso, for the full stop, at the end, a colon shall be substituted and thereafter
the following further proviso shall be added, namely:-
“Provided further that exemption under this clause shall also
be available to the expansion projects of the existing
Independent Power Projects already in operation.”.
