(Central Excise)
S.R.O. 768 (I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37
of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Central Board of Revenue is
pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in the
Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely:-
In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 96zzp, for sub-rule (2) the following
shall be substituted, namely:-
“(2) The duty shall be paid and the incidence thereof shall be
borne, by the said person and shall not be passed on to the user
of the credit cards. The billed amount shall include total
expenditure incurred by the credit card holder in a month and
shall include all transactions local as well as foreign.”.
