This SRO amends the Notification No. S.R.O. 71(I)/95, dated the 19th January, 1995

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMIC AFFAIR Islamabad,the 12th June,1999 NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS) S.R.O.703(I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act,1969 (IV of 1969), and sub-section of section 13 of the Sales Tax Act,1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in this Ministry’s Notification No. S.R.O.71(I)/95, dated the 19th January,1995, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification,- (a) in the preamble,- (i) in clause (a), after the word “leviable”, the words, commas, brackets and figures “under the First Schedule to the Customs Act,1969 (IV of 1969),” shall be inserted. (ii) In clause (b), after the word “customs-duty”, the words, commas, brackets and figures ”leviable under the First Schedule to the Customs Act,1969(IV of 1969)” shall be inserted; and (b) after condition (ix) the following Explanation shall be added, namely:- “Explanation.- For the purposes of this notification the expression “not produced locally” shall mean the goods which are not included in the list of locally manufactured goods, specified in the General Order, issued by the Central board of Revenue”.
