CUSTOMS
S.R.O.555(I)/2008.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section
19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), and clause (a) of sub-section (2) of
Section 13 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to
direct that consumption or installation certificates signed by the Chief Executive
Officers or Managing Directors or Head of the Organizations in respect of imports
of goods by M/s WAPDA, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation under various
concessionary notifications prior to 30th June, 2004 and Sui Northern Gas
Pipeline Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company under Special Exemption Order
No. 43/2001, dated the 28th November, 2001 shall be accepted for release of
financial securities in lieu of certificates to be issued by the Sales Tax and
Federal Excise Collectorates. The delay in furnishing of installation or
consumption certificates shall also stand condoned on their submission. This
notification shall not entitle anyone to claim refund.
