S.R.O. 2326(1)/2022.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 219 and 202B of the
Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the
following further amendments, which as required by sub-section (3A) of the said section 219
which were previously published vide Notification No. S.R.0 2246(1)/2022, dated the 14th day of
December, 2022, shall be made in the Customs Reward Rules, 2012, namely:-
In the aforesaid Rules,-
(1) in rule 7, in clause (b), for the Table, the following shall be substituted namely:-

(i) BS-1 to BS-16 in Chief Collector or Director General, on the recommendation of
field formations respective Collector or Director, as the case may be; and
Member (Legal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of
Revenue, on the recommendation of respective Collector (Appeals)
or Collector (Adjudication), as the case may be.
(ii) BS-17 to BS-20 in Member (Customs Operations), Federal Board of Revenue on the
field formations recommendation of respective Chief Collector or Director General
except Director General of Law & Prosecution, as the case may be;
and
Member (Legal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of
Revenue in the case of Collectors (Appeals & Adjudication) and
Directors of Directorate General of Law & Prosecution on the
recommendation of Director General, as the case may be.
(iii) BS-21 in field Member (Customs Operations), Federal Board of Revenue; and
formations Member (Legal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of
Revenue in the case of Director General of Law & Prosecution
(Customs).
(iv) BS-1 to BS-21 in Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue on the recommendation of
FBR HQ Member (Customs Operations), Federal Board of Revenue.".
