Amendment in the Customs Reward Rules

Government of Pakistan (Revenue Division) Federal Board of Revenue (Customs Wing) **At* * Islamabad, the 22 November, 2022. S.R.O. 23144 (1)/2022.- the following draft of certain further amendments in the Customs Reward Rules, 2012, which the Federal Board of Revenue proposes to be make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 read with section 2028 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969) is hereby published for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and, as required under sub-section (3A) of the said section 219, notice is hereby given that objections or suggestions thereon, if any, may for consideration of the Board be sent within fifteen days of publication of the draft in the official Gazette. Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person, before the expiry of the aforesaid period, shall be taken into consideration by the Federal Board of Revenue, namely:. DRAFT AMENDMENTS In the aforesaid Rules,- (I) in rule 7, in clause (b), for the Table, the following shall be substituted namely:- S.No. Officers of Sanctioning Authority Pakistan Customs Service and Staff I 2 3 BS-1 to 88-16 in I. Chief Collector or Director General, on the recommendation field formations of respective Collector or Director, as the case may be; and ii. Member (Legal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of Revenue, on the recommendation of respective Collector (Appeals) or Collector (Adjudication), as the case may be. 85-17 to BS-20 in i. Member (Customs Operations), Federal Board of Revenue on field formations the recommendation of respective Chief Collector or Director General except Director General of Law & Prosecution, as the case may be; and ii. Member (Legal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of Revenue with respect to Collectors (Appeals 84 Adjudication) and Directors of Directorate General of Law & Prosecution on the recommendation of Director General, as the case may be. iii. 135-21 in field Member (Customs Operations), Federal Board of Revenue; formations and Member (I.egal & Accounting - Customs), Federal Board of Revenue with respect to Director General of Law & Prosecution (Customs). iv.
