GOVERMENT OF PAKISTAN MINSRTRY OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC AFFAIRS, STATISTICS AND REVENUE (REVENUE DIVISION) ****** Islamabad the 15th November, 2003 NOTIFICATION (CUSTOMS) *** S.R.O (I)/2003-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that in its Notification No. S.R.O. 435(I)/2001, dated the 18th June, 2001, the following further amendment shall be made and shall be deemed to be so made on the 18th June, 2001, namely:- In the aforesaid Notification, in the Explanation for the full stop, at the end, a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following shall be added, namely:- “Provided that in case of manufacture of engineering goods meant for export, the import of raw materials and components, even if manufactured locally, shall be allowed free of duty against specific export orders subject to identification by the committee set up for this purpose in the Engineering Development Board: Provided further that this proviso shall not confer any right for refund of and duty already charged, paid, collected or recovery on such raw materials and components under any circumstances whatsoever.”.
