Amendments in S.R.O No. 1637(I)/2024 dated 18th October, 2024

NOTIFICATION S.K.C). 1156(I)/2025.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Customs Act. 1969 (IV of 1969). read with sections 30 and 31 of the Sales l ax Act. 1990. the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 1637(f)/2024. dated the IX"’ October. 2024. namely: - In the aforesaid Notification.- (A) in Table-11, in column (1 ).- (a) against S. No. 2. in column 13). Ibr clause (ii). the following shall be substituted, namcly:- ••( ii) information-based checking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry port areas against S. No. 3. in column (3). for clause (ii). the following shall be (b) substituted, nameh “(ii) information-based checking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry port areas against S. No. 4. in column (3). for clause (ii). the following shall be (c) substituted, namely:- “(ii) information-based checking ofcusloms cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport ordr\ port areas : against S. No. 6. in column (3). for clause (ii). the following shall be (d) substituted, namely:- “(ii) information-based checking ofcusloms cleared cargo any where including blocking within airport or dry port areas”: against S. No. 7. in column (3). for clause (ii). the following shall be (e) substituted, namely:- ••( ii) information-based checking ofcusloms cleared cargo anywhere in

No. 8. in column (3). tor clause (ii). the following shall be substituted, namely:- ”(ii) information-based checking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry port areas"; (g) against S. No. 9. in column (3).- (i) for clause (ii). the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(ii ) information-based checking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry port areas ; (ii) in clause (ix). the word "and", occurring at the end, shall be omitted; and (iii) in clause (x), for the full stop at the end. a semi-colon and the word "and" shall be substituted and thereafter the following new clause shall be added, namely:- ”(.\i) monitoring and blocking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or diy port areas of Gilgit-Baltistan."; (h) against S. No. 10. in column (3).- (i) for clause (ii). the following shall be substituted, namely "(ii) information-based checking of customs cleared cargo anywhere including blocking within airport or dry port areas"; (ii) in clause (vii). the word "and", occurring at the end. shall be^7 omitted; and (iii) in clause (viii), for the full stop at the end, a semi-colon and the word “and" shall be substituted and thereafter the following new clause shall be added, namely:- "(ix) anti-smuggling and all preventive functions in Gilgit- Baltistan Area."; (i) against S. No. 11. in column (>).- in the rider clause, after the words "River Indus”, the words (i) "and River I kib" shall be added: and for clause (ii). the follow ing shall be substituted, namely;- (ii) [21

No. 21. in column (Sk (i) in clause (viii). the word ’’and", occurring at the end. shall be omitted: and (ii) in clause (ix). for the full slop al the end. a semi-colon and the word "and" shall be substituted and thereafter the following new clause shall be added, namely:- "(x) all matters relating to the Central Examination Unit (CEU)T; (k) against S. No. 23. in column (3).- in clause (v). the word "and", occurring at the end, shall be (i) omitted; and (ii) in clause (vi). for the full stop at the end. a semi-coion and the word "and" shall be substituted and thereafter the following new clause shall be added, namely:- "(vii) all matters relating to Central Appraising Unit (CAU) of Eacelcss Customs Assessment.": and (1) against S. No. 33. in column (3). in clause (x), for the semi-colon and the word "and", a colon shall be substituted: and (B) after Table-11, amended as aforesaid, the following proviso shall be added, namely:- "Provided that the Board mav re-assign functions relating to assessment and examination of import and export goods assigned to any organization in column (.3) o! lable- II. to the CAU of Faceless Customs Assessment and CEl7 established by the Board in terms ol sub-section (6) ol section 80 of the Customs Act.
